As i’m sure you’re probably well aware from the million snapchats and Instagram posts, I recently returned from Marbella! … and it was AMAZING!! It was completely different to anything I had imagined, and I don’t think I’ve had such a relaxing holiday in a very very long time.
I set off from Gatwick in the early hours of Tuesday morning, with my two girls Victoria Hearn and Holly Clark. Bless Holly for driving, I was fast asleep in the back, standard for me on any journey. We arrived in Marbella at around 9am local time, where all the fun began! Victoria, a beauty, lifestyle, and fashion blogger, had been asked to visit a 5* golf and spa resort – Los Monteros, check it out! – to give a review, and bring two friends along… how could I ever say no ey! Anyway back to the post. We were greeted at the airport by a lovely young gentleman from the hotel who carried our (my – yea I was struggling in my heels) bags to the car, and took us to our hotel. Once arriving at the hotel, we were greeted and taken to our upgrade suite. Which by the way, was the most BEAUTIFUL room ever!! Our bed was so big, I could probably fit in it 6 times! We had a lovely bowl of fruit and champagne to crack open on arrival. Tuesday’s really do not get much better… I was a little bit excited by now as you can probably guess.
So, we slipped on the bikini’s of course, and headed to the pool. The rest of the holiday consisted of cocktails, tanning, and selfies. If i’m honest, I thought I would go and explore the mountains and beaches, but really I just needed a break where I focused on relaxing, reviving, and having time to just breathe. It’s crazy how hard you can push yourself, every day without a break. I spend most my time outside of work seeing family and friends, exercising, and exploring, and I really needed a few days to myself. I read a lovely book called “Light is the new black” by Rebecca Campell, which gave me a lot of positive and motivated thoughts. It’s so easy to get sucked in to things that aren’t good for you, like living in the past, worrying about the future, being around the wrong type of person, especially when you struggle to break away. I find that although something (a feeling or relationship) may seem like it’s worth it, it’s actually only sugar coated, and
unfortunately, not everyone has your best intentions at heart. When I was reading this book, it reminded me that there is light everywhere, and to just let go of what ever is bringing me down. So I did, and the break was just what I needed to put my feelings and thoughts back in their place. Yes, the woman in me is very alive and well now! I feel like a completely different person! Wooop
Nights out, and laughing in the day by the pool – give it to me every day please!!! We were even treated to a VIP bed at La Cabane Beach Club. We sipped cocktails, ate water melon, and lay in the sun over looking the sea…
All. Day. Long.
A girls heaven if you ask me!
Thanks to my girls for the best break, and to the hotel for having us! We definitely felt like princesses the whole holiday!!
Stay calm, relaxed and free wildflowers <3 xxx
