Have you ever wondered what it would be like to jump onto a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and head to the Mediterranean sea to island hop, eat the best food, and party all day and night? Well, my fellow explorers, that is exactly what us lucky guests of the cruise did last week!…
and OH. MY. WOW!!
The Jewel of the Seas did not disappoint. From the mesmerising sparkling lobby, to the mini golf course, to the all you can eat menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this cruise ship is fantastic. The whole ship feels like a luxurious, moving community, with attention to detail transcending its physical features to the attentive and helpful staff, who I can not thank enough for the most welcome and warm stay. They really do go the extra mile, ensuring everything from a daily basis to evening meals is clean and replenished (especially my wine glass, obviously the most important part).
Hopping on at Rome, Civitavecchia, the cruise ship set off at 5pm. The whole process was very easy, and we were not left waiting around which was definitely my biggest dread in the 30 degree heat. Arriving at the port around 11:30am, we were among the first to board the ship. Our luggage was taken straight to our room, we were given our key cards, and off we went to the pool to sunbathe and enjoy the Italian sea air.
If you have never been on a cruise, or in fact a PARTY cruise, and have no idea what to expect… don’t worry, because no one really had before last week. So, if you’re still curious as to what went down on the ship, i’ll fill you in now!
The Cruise: Music – DJs – Pool parties – GIN!!! – an absolute tonne of alcohol – Sunbeds – Bikinis, glitter and all things that make those keep who like to dress up look fabulous! – Cocktails – Buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner – 3 course dinner – Speciality restaurants inc. sushi and steak – Crazy golf – Rock Climbing – Sunsets – Salon – Lobby bar – Arcade – Theatre – Casino – Topped with a Champagne Spray Party!!
During the time on board, we stopped off at Santorini, Mykonos, and Ville Franche. All absolutely stunning and definitely places to add to your bucket list for 2018.
The Anchored Unique cruise was aimed at 18-30’s, however, this did not stop the families and the elderly joining in on the partying. It seemed that everyone on board was enjoying this new and exciting adventure! With the sun beaming every day, the partying went on from 12pm – well into the early hours to as late as 4am, up by the pool area, with new DJ’s joining the ship at each destination. I’m not going to lie, I was an absolute baby and went to sleep early every night – pretty much just looking forward to partying in the sunshine during the day, and burning myself out by dinner.
The food, the drinks and the rooms were fantastic. It was pretty much the most relaxing and fun week you can have. Picking and choosing when you want to chill and when you want to attend the pool parties.
I’m not going to give too much away as it’s one of those you really need to see and experience yourself. So enjoy the pictures, and definitely get on this ship next year!!!
